Software Engineer II – ePsolutions ePsolutions is looking to hire an experienced Software Support Engineer to join the team. We are looking for a highly motivated, goal-oriented individual who will be responsible for researching, designing and writing software to specifications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high degree of initiative and creativity, as well as a thorough knowledge of up-to-date development technologies. Responsibilities: • Enhance existing software by analyzing and identifying areas for optimization or refactoring. • Mentors junior developers in industry best practices, procedures and concepts. • Researches, designs and writes software to specifications. • Generates technical documentation as well as unit and functional tests. • Assists with the maintenance of applications by monitoring and correcting software defects. • Investigates new technologies and techniques and researches ongoing industry developments. • Work effectively and professionally with other team members, staff and customers • Share knowledge with others by documenting and contributing to knowledge base. Requirements: • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science • 2+ years - C#, .NET 2.0, .NET 3.5 • 2+ years - SQL Server 2008 • Experience with ASP.NET, AJAX, WCF, LINQ, Ling-to-SQL, Entity and RIA Framework, • Exposure to WPF, Silverlight, XAML, Blend • Experience with design patterns, MVC, MVP, MVVM • 2+ years – TFS source control, Unit testing, code verification, documentation, automated build, continuous integration, metrics & code reviews • Have worked in Agile environments • Creativity and flexibility are required • Experience in the deregulated electricity or utility industry is a plus About ePsolutions: Headquartered in Austin, ePsolutions specializes in providing software and services that automate the back-office activities of utility companies of all sizes.
